If you would like to explore Marbella, it is recommended to definitely pass by the historic city center. Many people often overlook this, but here you can stroll through the narrow white streets and discover nice stores and art galleries.

At Plaza de Los Naranjos, which is located in the historic center, you can stay in one of the bars or restaurants that are present. The square has not got its name by coincidence, because it is characterized by the many orange trees that can be found there. It was created in 1485 with a typical Spanish-Christian design. Here you can do perfect sightseeing and explore the monuments on and around the square. Stop by Casa Consistorial (now converted into a town hall) and be sure to pass by Iglesia Mayor de la Encarnación!

If you want to take a break in nature, you can visit Parque La Alameda, located south of the historic city center. This 18th century park is very popular with its inhabitants who love to walk and rest in the shade of lush plants and trees. Throughout the year there are also many activities organized such as markets and festivals.

If you leave the Alameda park and walk towards the sea, you will arrive at la Avenida del Mar. This is a beautiful wide promenade where statues of Salvador Dalí are exhibited, and the street looks like a surreal open air museum. Also here you can stroll or enjoy a nice drink in one of the bars.
