Estepona is considered part of “the golden triangle”, next to the beautiful Benahavís and the glamorous Marbella. The white authentic houses, the beautiful beaches and the pleasant atmosphere make Estepona a top location for people who enjoy the finer things in life.

2. Sights

Estepona is also called “the garden of the Costa del Sol”. When visiting the city, you will immediately notice that there is a lot of green here. Here you will find numerous murals of flowers, flowerpot-covered facades and even a botanical garden. Make sure you visit Plaza de las Flores, and enjoy the beautiful view of the lush flowers on one of the terraces!

In addition to the historic part of the city, the port of Estepona is also a major attraction. This is one of the most important places for bars, restaurants and clubs. From here you can make fishing excursions or trips to the Mediterranean Sea to spot dolphins. There is also a market every Sunday where craft products are sold.

3. Culinary delights

Both in the port and in the historic centre of Estepona there are many good restaurants. While you will find a wide range of international cuisines in the harbour, you can always enjoy the Mediterranean cuisine in other places.

To start with, Sabores Gourmet is a very pleasant restaurant located close to the coast. Here you will find a very good price-quality ratio and you can enjoy delicious tapas in combination with the best wines.

Another nice tapas bar that can be found in the historic centre of Estepona is La Casa del Rey. This is a wine bar/restaurant that has been serving unique wines since 2012, along with delicious dishes and tapas.

Are you looking for a good seafood restaurant? Then we recommend Los Rosales. This is a small typical fish restaurant located near Plaza de las Flores, in the historic part of Estepona. Their dishes are delicious and the service very smooth and friendly.

Finally, we would also like to mention Rosatti. This is an Italian restaurant, located in the port of Estepona. Here you can enjoy delicious Italian dishes from the outside terrace overlooking the harbour, or from the side terrace with a tropical garden.

4. Lifestyle

Estepona, with its 70,000 inhabitants, is a lively city, but not predominantly crowded. Anyone looking for a traditional Spanish place that offers all the benefits of the Costa del Sol will certainly feel at home here.
