With no less than 579 blue flags, Spain has been awarded the world’s most beautiful and cleanest beaches. For those of us who do not know the meaning of the Blue Flag: The Blue Flag is an eco-label of the non-profit organization “Foundation for Environmental Education” (FEE). This label has only been awarded to 3372 beaches around the world.
So in addition to their beauty, the beaches are also of the highest quality. On the Costa Del Sol there are no less than 90 blue flags.
